Stick Curtain Wall
A fully proven and very cost-effective curtain wall system for low to medium rise applications. The system takes its name from the long continuous mullion sticks and transoms that arrive on site in lengths.
A concealed drainage system allows these extrusions to be used with confidence on multi-storey buildings.
Two mullion options are available for varying span and strength requirements.
The system is easily installed.
Magnum Door
Magnum commercial doors are versatile and robust and are suitable for commercial and institutional use. They can be mounted in a range of styles and have been designed to accept mainstream, heavy duty commercial locks.
They can be hinged, floor sprung, hung on concealed transom closers or sliding (bottom rolling or top hung).
A choice of stile or rail widths is available.
Compatible with the 40mm Window Series, the 100 and 135mm Flushglaze system and the 80mm and 100mm Shopfronts.
80mm & 100mm Shopfront
These windows are designed for shopfront locations, generally at ground level and in protected situations.
The glazing pocket lies in a central position in the frame and mullion in the 100mm suite and in an offset position in the 80mm suite, giving the windows an appearance of solidity in a setting of robust aluminium profiles.
Opening sashes from the 40mm Window Series can be incorporated using a sash adaptor.
The shopfront suites are compatible with the Magnum Door
100mm & 135mm Flushglaze
This system is suitable for shopfront and medium rise uses. Glazing is nearly flush with the outside face, reducing the visual effect of aluminium as viewed from the outside.
The flushglaze system can be used as a curtain wall. Provision can be made for seismic and thermal movement.
An internal drainage system allows flushglaze windows to be used with confidence on multi-storey buildings.
Two opening sash options are available.
Commercial Systems
First offers a comprehensive portfolio of commercial window systems for low rise to medium rise buildings.
Designed by Architectural Profiles Ltd (APL), New Zealand ’s leading window systems supplier, the commercial range includes shopfront suites, commercial suites for mainstream and specialised uses, flushglaze and structural glaze systems, glazing bars for vertical or sloped glazing and commercial doors.
All the systems have a proven record of use in projects throughout New Zealand and are manufactured by the nationwide network of First fabricators. Most of the systems have been the subject of a design upgrade over the last few years to improve aesthetics, ease of glazing and to expand product options.
125mm Structural Glaze
This is a two or four-sided structural glazed, fully panelised system for low to medium rise applications.
Glass is adhered on the outer edge of the extrusions, reducing the visual effect of aluminium as viewed from the outside.
Either the horizontal transom line or the vertical mullion line can be highlighted through the application of glazing beads. Sun control fins can also be applied to the outside of the transoms to accentuate the horizontal line.
Opening sashes can be incorporated in the façade without interrupting the ‘glass look.’
40mm Window Series
The 40mm series is an integrated suite of profiles for use in a wide range of commercial or high specification residential window applications.
It can be used in low to medium rise buildings and has various frame and opening sash options. Provision can be made for seismic and thermal movement.
Options include pocket glazed and beaded sashes, facing and non-facing sashes, pivot and hopper windows and curtain wall extrusions.
The series is compatible with Magnum and Architectural Series doors.
